Material Developer

Location : Beaverton, Oregon

Job Type : Contract

Compensation Range : $33 - 37 per hour

We're looking for an innovative and curious Material Developer with a passion for textiles, print and pattern. The candidate will use their technical materials knowledge, critical thinking and collaborative skills to deliver modern material solutions for our Womens Sportswear Apparel product. Strong skills in textile and print development as well as an understanding of the product creation process will ensure delivery of exceptional product for our athletes.

Responsibilities :

If this is you, you will explore ideas in textiles and print / pattern from trend through technological advancements. This research will enable the collaboration with our product creation team partners to deliver on the highest level of athlete

• experience with a commercialized materials palette grounded in our key sustainability goals. You will drive seasonal material development in partnership with vendors and manufacturing teams from concept to commercialization. This includes testing, tracking and creative material solutions.

Who you will work with :

You will report into the Global Apparel Materials Team (GLAM) and support our partners within Apparel including key collaborations with Innovation, Design, Product Merchandising, Technical Development, Sourcing and Manufacturing. You will need to work effectively within the materials team to ensure a thoughtful approach to developing new materials and maintain an understanding of how materials perform when in garment form.
