Symbotic is seeking a highly motivated Tier II Strategic Sourcing Manager within our Supply Chain organization. This role is focused on managing spend below our direct suppliers, with a category emphasis on industrial automation components such as PLCs, I / O modules, data and power cables, motors, VFDs, power transfer components, safety fencing, MDR technology, cameras, sensors, and scanners. The successful candidate will be responsible for aggregating usage across the organization to forecast demand, negotiate best pricing, identify and qualify alternative suppliers, and drive cost savings initiatives. A critical part of the role will be new product introduction (NPI)partnering with engineering to select competitive, reliable sources early in the design cycle and securing pricing and supply agreements before launch. This is a strategic role, not a tactical buying role. The Manager will own supplier strategies, contracts, and relationships, ensuring results that align with company objectives.

Our global sourcing, procurement and third-party supplier team develop innovative category management strategies in collaboration with the business. The team focuses on strategic third-party partner agreements and support supplier relationship management, commercial and financial pricing models for overall supplier performance.

What you'll do :

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Tier II spend categories, with a focus on industrial automation components.
• Manage contracts and long-term agreements for all Tier II suppliers.
• Aggregate usage data to develop accurate forecasts that inform supplier negotiations and commitments.
• Lead supplier negotiations to secure best-in-class pricing, terms, and continuity of supply.
• Support global manufacturing strategies, considering geopolitical risks and future expansion into new markets.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard alternative suppliers to mitigate risk, reduce cost, and ensure quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering during new product introduction (NPI) to select optimal sources and negotiate agreements prior to launch.
• Stay current on emerging technologies relevant to Symbotic's development strategy and promote adoption where beneficial.
• Partner with direct suppliers to ensure Tier II sourcing strategies align with overall supplier management.
• Conduct cost / benefit and risk analyses to support sourcing recommendations and continuous improvement.
• Monitor supplier performance across delivery, quality, cost, and risk; drive corrective actions as needed.
