Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Sunnyvale, California. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will manage payroll operations for a workforce of over 400 employees, ensuring compliance with multi-state regulations and company policies. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in full-cycle payroll and proficiency in ADP Workforce Now.

Responsibilities :

• Process bi-weekly payroll for a workforce of over 400 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage multi-state payroll operations, adhering to applicable state and federal regulations.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to execute payroll tasks and maintain employee records.
• Address payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries in a meticulous manner.
• Ensure compliance with tax filings, deductions, and benefits contributions.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll processes.
• Generate and analyze payroll reports to support audits and financial planning.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive employee data.
• Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Assist with system upgrades or transitions as needed to enhance payroll efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in handling full-cycle payroll for mid-sized to large organizations.
• Proficiency in processing multi-state payroll and understanding related compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and deductions.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to address payroll-related issues.
• Familiarity with payroll for employee groups exceeding 500 is a plus.
