As a Planning Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating strategic initiatives, supporting financial planning, and uncovering business insights that drive performance. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, finance, or a related analytical field. MBA or advanced coursework in finance or strategy is a plus.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in financial analysis, consulting, corporate development, or strategy roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial systems, and economic trends.
- Strong command of Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint; proficiency in ThinkCell and financial databases (e.g., Capital IQ) preferred.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, big data planning, and resource optimization.
- Demonstrated experience with project management and financial reporting tools.
- Exceptional technical communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to prepare financial models, projections, and valuation analyses.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize and present complex information clearly.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling quantitative analysis and data validation.
- Exposure to multi-unit retail or consumer businesses is an advantage.
- Familiarity with market research tools (e.g., Euromonitor, Statista, IHS) is a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Support the evaluation of growth initiatives, including new store formats, geographic expansion, and acquisitions.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.Conduct variance analyses of financial and statistical data on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Participate in planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to drive strategic alignment.Prepare financial projections and scenarios for annual budgeting and long-range planning.Analyze store performance and identify drivers of growth, efficiency, or margin improvement.Collaborate with business and finance leaders to structure business cases and define key assumptions.Build and maintain financial models, valuation frameworks, and investment decks.Conduct industry and competitive benchmarking using market and financial intelligence platforms.Generate concise, executive-level presentations that summarize complex findings and recommendations.Contribute to strategic assessments of market entry opportunities and investment attractiveness.Work with FP&A, accounting, and operations teams to enhance performance tracking and variance analysis.Leverage data tools such as Power BI, Excel, and Tableau to generate dashboards and performance insights.Assist in post-investment reviews to assess actual performance versus expected outcomes.Support the onboarding and guidance of interns or junior analysts when needed.All activities will be performed in support of the strategy and vision of the organization.
