Drug Prosecutor – Crawford County

The Crawford County Attorneys Office and the City of Pittsburg, Kansas are seeking a highly motivated person to prosecute all felony drug cases arising out of the Pittsburg Police Department.

The individual selected to fill this position will perform duties to include, but not limited to, the following : review and file all felony drug cases arising out of the city of Pittsburg; appear in court for all assigned cases including jury trials; represent the State of Kansas at all levels of criminal prosecution; conduct legal research, draft motions, responses, pleadings, and proposed orders.

The position will be based in Girard and will work closely with the Pittsburg Police Department and will provide ongoing case direction and support on a routine basis. Successful candidates must be admitted to the practice of law and be in good standing in the State of Kansas and be able to pass a background check.

Prior experience as a prosecutor or criminal defense is preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a generous benefit package.
