Substitute Teacher

Position Description

Shrine Catholic High School and Academy is seeking Substitute Teachers who have the opportunity to relieve full school days or partial days in the current school year.

Shrine Catholic High School and Academy is an accredited college preparatory high school and junior high, and serves a coed population of over 389 students. It is located at 3500 W. Thirteen Mile Rd. in Royal Oak, Michigan, at the intersection of 13 Mile and Woodward Ave.

The position may include the following responsibilities and skills :

Shrine Catholic High School and Academy is seeking responsible educators / substitutes looking to provide instruction and manage the classroom environment. The teacher would interact professionally with students, teachers, and possibly parents. They will maintain our school decorum and work to maximize learning while following an organized substitute plan.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Valid or ensuing collegiate degree.
• Must meet all requirements established by the Archdiocese of Detroit for employment.
• Must have a record of fingerprinting on file.
• Must have completed or be willing to complete Protecting God's Children training.
• Prior school employment experience preferred.
