Qualifications
Education / Experience : B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering. Three to five years experience in Manufacture-to-order environment.
Knowledge : Product design, manufacturing methods ( assembly, welding, metal machining, and synthetic material machining), fabrication processes, tooling, quality control standards and production equipment capabilities. Proven track record in planning, implementing, and debugging manufacturing processes. Epicore experience or other business system experience is highly desirable. Lean manufacturing experience desirable, along with exposure to production planning implementation. Strong background in mechanical maintenance routines is desirable.
Skill : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical interference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collects data, established facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical / Environmental Demands : Requires light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature and some manual dexterity, minimal lifting, and ability to work in manufacturing environment subject to some noise and fumes.
