Responsibilities

Serve as direct support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in executive management of nursing services and clinical support associates, including driving adherence to standards of professional practice and regulatory requirements. Oversee the operational responsibility for a group of patient care areas and / or special projects or initiatives.

Responsibilities :

  • Engage and assemble stakeholders to drive results focusing on health care economics, quality / safety
  • nurse sensitive indicators, case management, continuum of care, regulatory management and healthcare

    operations. Attract, recruit and retain talent, cultivating engaged nurses, leaders and support staff

    focused on high-quality care driving the consumer experience.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to execute business strategies that improve overall performance
  • metrics and financial performance.

  • Formulate policies and procedures consistent with recognized standards of professional practice and compliance of regulatory standards.
  • Foster a culture of appreciation, belongingness, inclusivity, diversity and equity to drive the associate experience. Develop professional communication and information for the hospital's top nursing
  • leader.

    Requirements

    Licensure / Certification / Registration :

    Required Credential(s) :

  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date OR job transfer date.
  • Education :

  • Master's degree required.
  • Work Experience :

  • 5 years of experience required.
  • 10 years of experience preferred.
  • 2 years of leadership OR management experience required.
  • 5 years of leadership OR management experience preferred.
  • Additional Preferences

  • National certifications strongly preferred : NE-BC, NEA-BC and / or FACHE
  • Progressive nursing leadership experience including executive level roles of Director, ACNO or CNO
  • Proven track record of success in nurse recruitment, retention and succession planning as well as key performance results
