General Summary :

The Endoscopy Technician / Transporter provides essential support in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) under the supervision of the ASC Charge Nurse, Chief CRNA, and other healthcare professionals. This role involves assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, patient transport, equipment maintenance, and ensuring a safe, clean environment. The individual is responsible for preparing patients for transport, handling medical equipment, sterilizing scopes, and supporting the healthcare team with operational tasks. The role requires strict adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and excellent communication skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands :

• Extensive mobility, walking, and standing during work.
• Lifting, pushing, and pulling of patients, supplies, and equipment up to 100 lbs., requiring full range of motion.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Prolonged periods of viewing computer screens or typing.
• Exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, hazardous equipment, chemical agents, and medicinal preparations.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions or irregular hours as needed.
