Jo b Summary :

The Head of Engineering is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the software engineering team, driving technical and product strategy, fostering innovation, and ensuring the successful execution of engineering work. The Head of Engineering will work closely with Valor's CEO / CIO and the senior leadership team to define product strategy and roadmap and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team, overseeing projects and engineering work, and the alignment of engineering resources with Firm goals. This role requires extensive experience in software engineering leadership, strategic planning, and team management.

Responsibilities

General job duties include, but are not limited to :

Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of software engineers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives

Drive the architectural vision and technical roadmap for Valor's software products, collaborating with senior leadership, product champions, and other stakeholders

Establish and promote software engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, documentation, and deployment processes, as well as a scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure
