Heart and Lung Procurement and Acute Circulatory Support Surgeon

The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery. The candidate will have a strong academic background, and expertise in heart and lung procurement, organ assessment and resuscitation, ex-vivo organ perfusion, ECMO cannulation and management, as well as all aspects of Cardiovascular Surgery.

Requirements :

Cardiac surgical experience preferred but not required, preferably as an advanced trainee or staff surgeon with strong surgical skills. Other requirements include :

• Expertise in lung and heart procurement and transplantation
• Expertise in ex-vivo heart and lung perfusion and normothermic regional perfusion
• Expertise in ECMO cannulation and management
• Eligible for Minnesota State Licensure
• Interest and ability in education, simulation, and research would be valued
