School-Based Social Worker - Bridgeport, Connecticut

An immediate opportunity is available for a School Social Worker for the 2025-2026 academic year at an elementary school in Bridgeport, CT. This contract position provides critical support to students, families, and school staff by addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that impact academic success.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans and promote a positive school environment.
• Provide crisis intervention and support services as needed.
• Connect families with community resources and services to address social and economic barriers.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to support student success.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school district policies and confidentiality laws.
