Payroll Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Alameda, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll operations. If you have strong technical skills and hands-on experience with accounting software systems, this opportunity is ideal for you.

Responsibilities :

• Process payroll accurately and on time while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle accounts payable tasks, including reviewing and reconciling invoices.
• Audit payroll records and transactions to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with benefits administrators to manage employee benefit functions.
• Generate reports and provide payroll-related data for internal auditing and analysis.
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll data.
• Support other accounting functions as needed to ensure smooth financial operations.
