Position Overview
Power Changes Lives is seeking a passionate and driven Fundraising and Event Planning Manager to join our team remotely. As part of our mission to support low-income, minority, and underserved communities, this role is crucial to enabling programs that address disparities in aging, education, wellness, food security, homelessness, housing, and social justice. If you are a creative thinker with a knack for organizing impactful events and strategic fundraising initiatives, this is an opportunity to make a significant difference.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Fundraising Strategy : Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive fundraising plan aligned with the organizations mission, engaging potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
- 2. Event Planning and Execution : Plan, manage, and execute online and offline fundraising events. Design unique and engaging events from concept to execution, ensuring seamless operations and participant satisfaction.
- 3. Donor Engagement and Management : Build and maintain relationships with new and existing donors. Design strategies to nurture and grow donor bases, ensuring recognition and acknowledgment of contributions.
- 4. Collaboration and Partnerships : Work collaboratively with team members, community leaders, and potential partners to create synergies and develop joint fundraising events or campaigns.
- 5. Budgeting and Financial Oversight : Develop event budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure optimal financial management in all activities. Analyze campaign performance and prepare regular reports for leadership review.
- 6. Marketing and Promotion : Collaborate with the marketing team to design promotional materials, both digital and print, for fundraising campaigns and events. Utilize social media channels to increase event visibility and engagement.
- 7. Compliance and Reporting : Ensure all fundraising activities comply with applicable laws and regulations. Maintain accurate records and data to demonstrate transparency and impact.
