We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join our team in Phoenix / Tempe, AZ, to lead and work on various Minerals & Metals (mining) and other client projects.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Serves and as a mining team leader for junior staff and technicians and\or coordinates with other office leads and project managers to complete tasks and deliverables.
• Conducts business development and business pursuit activities with existing or new clients.
• Support proposal scope, technical approaches, and fee estimates.
• May manage or assist in the management of projects.
• Serves as a point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and various other parties.
• Prepares technical report of findings; supports preparation of permits and NEPA documents and provides peer reviews of reports prepared by others.
• Responsible for planning field work and coordinating with various parties as to when and where field work will occur.
• Conduct / participate in natural resource field investigations, including but not limited to waters of the US; potential habitat for threatened and endangered species; vegetative community; presence / absence surveys, specimen collection and handling; construction monitoring; and stormwater and erosion control monitoring and compliance.
• Serves as a team leader for health and safety requirements, including the preparation of safety documents and adherence to company safety protocols and procedures.
• Maintains federal Mine Safety & Health Act (MSHA) certification.
• Effectively communicate the results of studies performed to project management staff.
• Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
