Position Summary : JMT is currently seeking an experienced Licensed Land Surveyor - Survey / SUE Project Manager. This position plans, organizes and directs work of other surveyors and technicians engaged in surveying the earth's surface to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, utility locations, subsurface utility engineering (SUE), land division, titles, or other purposes. Promotes safe work practices of all survey staff. Evaluates progress of the staff and results obtained and recommends major changes to achieve overall results. Represents the company in meetings and conferences with clients and potential clients. This position is not eligible for employer-based sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification.

The successful applicant should be a proactive communicator and change agent, someone who can successfully balance employee needs with business objectives to create integrated solutions.

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment 80% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.

Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat / cold, wet / humid, and dry / arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed. Amount of Travel Required : 20% approximately
