Special Education ReadingTutor

The Special Education Reading Tutor reports directly to the Director of Student Services Student Services Coordinators Principal of the School and is expected to work closely with all school personnel. The Special Education Reading Tutor will provide highly individualized reading tutorials to special education students in both small group and 1 : 1 settings in consultation with a special education teacher.

Qualifications and Skill Set :

• Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university required
• Training and / or knowledge of various reading programs preferred (Orton-Gillingham Wilson Reading Lindamood Bell)
• Knowledge of research-based best practices and interventions in literacy
• Experience working in a diverse educational setting including the ability to work successfully with students colleagues and families from diverse ethnic cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Competence with technology tools and platforms including Google applications

Role and Responsibilities :

Salary : $35-$50 / hour depending on experience. Part time or full time options are available.

This is a non-union position.
