WIFR is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Digital Sales Leader to execute sales and achieve local sales goals in the Rockford and Northwest Chicago suburbs.
Salary : $60,000 annually plus commission.
Shift and Schedule :
Monday to Friday (subject to manager's discretion). Full‑time position.
Responsibilities
Generate revenue for the station and meet monthly sales goals through effective outside sales techniques.
Develop new business and produce results for clients via targeted campaigns.
Research and build campaign solutions, ensuring execution meets client expectations.
Establish trusting relationships with clients, community, and Gray Media, meeting all commitments with appropriate preparation, delivery, and follow‑through.
Grow your portfolio in alignment with goals, targeting companies that are expanding, relocating, or hiring.
Meet or exceed revenue targets for digital business, new and existing campaigns, and TV business, and develop strategies to support goal achievement.
Increase clients’ advertising spend while improving overall spend.
Support quality deliverables to drive client results and collect receivables.
Build sales skills, including storytelling, prospecting, relationship building, negotiation, and closing.
Develop capabilities to produce creative, effective campaigns.
Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of cross‑platform marketing solutions and sales methodologies.
Comprehensive understanding of industry terminology and digital nuances.
Self‑sufficient yet open to guidance and supervision.
Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities while maintaining composure.
Aptitude for developing talent, helping others succeed, and enjoying leadership opportunities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High proficiency with MS Office applications.
Technologically adept and competent.
Passion for contributing to a sales team with a positive mindset.
Superior business acumen in new media, digital interactive initiatives, and social media.
Committed to achieving goals and delivering practical results.
Strong relationship building, customer service, communication, and negotiation skills.
Digital media sales experience preferred; excellent understanding of TV / media plans, advertising marketplace, and competition.
Quick to recover from adversity, communicate effectively, and build rapport with all stakeholders.
Professional appearance required; comfortable presenting via video calls.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
