Position Summary Information

Primary Purpose

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director and the Director of the PHCC, assists faculty in all clinical aspects of patient care and treatment.

Essential Functions

• Perform chairside duties to include four-handed dentistry.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain dental operatories; maintain proper sterilization of instruments and materials.
• Provide post-treatment instruction and materials to patients; escort patients to and from treatment rooms.
• Take radiograph images.
• Pour diagnostic models and perform minor laboratory procedures.
• Monitor adherence to infection control policies and procedures among clinic students, residents, and faculty.
• Restock supplies, clean and maintain equipment as needed.
• Assist with front desk duties, including telephone coverage, scheduling, and appointment confirmation.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director and / or Director, PHCC.

Position requires standing during the majority of working hours; occasional reaching and bending. Frequent handling of instruments requires incumbent to possess sufficient motor function to execute movements essential to providing oral health care to patients. Work Environment / Work Week / Travel :

Position is full-time, eight (8) hours hours per day, five (5) days per week. Must be available to work varying shifts to include evenings. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens may reasonably be anticipated. Personal protective equipment will be provided to reduce or eliminate exposure to routine or limited infectious agents.

Hiring Range

$20.16 - $26.70 per hour. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
