Surgical Technologist – Full-Time Contracts | Rochester, NY | $45 / hour (local) / $2,000+ / week (travel) | Day & Night Shifts Available

Location : Rochester, NY

Job Type : Full-Time Contract (17 Weeks)

Shift : 3x12 Day & Night Shifts Available

Pay : $45 per hour (local) / $2,000+ / week (travel)

Travel Package : Weekly stipends available for qualifying travel Surgical Techs

Referral Bonus : $500 for qualified referrals (100+ hours worked)

Overview :

A leading hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking experienced Surgical Technologists for full-time local and travel contract roles in both Pediatric and Adult Operating Rooms. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-acuity acute care setting with a skilled perioperative team. Candidates should be confident in handling surgical instruments, supporting surgeons and RNs during complex cases, and maintaining a safe, sterile environment in the OR.

Surgical Technologist Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and instruments are available and sterilized
• Assist surgeons and RNs during pediatric and adult surgical procedures
• Maintain a sterile field and enforce aseptic techniques at all times
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies efficiently
• Handle specimens properly and deliver them for analysis as directed
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures
• Support patient safety and infection control standards consistently
