Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Site Civil Engineering Designer to join our dynamic Infrastructure at our Columbus, OH office. This position reports to the Discipline Leader and will be a staff or lead engineering designer working with the technical team and supporting the project manager to deliver well-executed projects to our clients. Qualified candidates will have experience with codes and regulations, creating engineering plans, designing storm water facilities, site grading, and local and state permitting.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

What You Will Do :

• Direct and assist with plan production, perform and review design calculations, drive quality assurance, and support the internal and external project team on a variety of site / civil land development engineering projects.
• Develop grading and earthwork, site access, erosion control, stormwater management systems, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and other documentation to support the client's permitting and construction efforts.
• Support project managers to develop engineering design, drive execution of deliverables, and provide client support
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce engineering plans and exhibits
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure project objectives (scope, schedule, budget, deliverables) are met in accordance with established metrics
• Provide technical expertise in site / civil design, hydrology / hydraulics, erosion and sedimentation control, slope stability, and stormwater management
• Support permitting with County and local municipalities. Experience with local municipalities is a plus
• Work closely with project management team to identify challenges, and develop and implement solutions

Pay Range $83,200—$124,800 USD
