Head of Department – Design & Technology (Food, Graphics, Resistant Materials, Textiles)

Location : Braintree, Essex

Start Date : January 2026

Pay Rate : £160–£260 per day

GSL Education are seeking an experienced and inspirational Head of Design & Technology to lead a dynamic D&T department at a secondary school in Braintree .

The successful candidate will oversee a range of specialisms, including Food Technology, Graphics, Resistant Materials, and Textiles , ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support staff within the D&T department
• Deliver engaging lessons that inspire creativity and innovation
• Oversee curriculum development and departmental progress
• Promote excellence in teaching, learning, and student outcomes
