job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProcessing investment castings to customer specifications covered by the specific work instructions / technique. Maintaining penetrant lines within proper operating parameters including lighting, penetrant chemical levels, and mixtures. Ensuring parts are properly processed to work instructions including external and internal surfaces are dry and excess penetrant has been removed and ready for examination. Monitoring all trainees' work on the line to ensure they are not independently conducting, interpreting, evaluating, or reporting the process results of any FPI test without direct supervision from the Level I or Level II inspector. Other duties may be assigned and Cross training as needed. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Achieve and maintain internal certifications per SNT-TC-1A and customer requirements including examination for general method knowledge, specific procedure understanding and practical performance of the method. Must become trained to the PT certification requirements including 4 hours of formal classroom training and 130 hours of OJT under a certified NDT Level I, II or III. Investment casting experience and knowledge preferred, general knowledge of other NDT disciplines a plus. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and / or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
