Director of Fleet

Responsibilities

The Director of Fleet will :

• Oversee and optimize the management and maintenance of the company's fleet, including trucks, vehicles, and equipment
• Develop and implement cost-effective fleet management strategies, including maintenance schedules, fuel efficiency, and replacement schedules
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and maintain a strong safety record for the fleet
• Set performance expectations and KPIs for Regional, District and Branch Management to regularly assess their performance against these objectives
• Develop and maintain relationships with relevant regulatory agencies and bodies
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and systems to enhance fleet management efficiency
• Develop and manage the fleet budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
• Analyze financial reports and data to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance overall fleet performance
• Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, including vehicle manufacturers, maintenance service providers, fuel suppliers, and technology solution vendors
• Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance with service level agreements
• Develop and implement strategies for the sale of existing fleet assets that align with the company's financial goals.
• Analyze market trends to determine optimal timing for asset sales to maximize returns
• Perform other duties, as needed
