Shop Hand Technician

Join a dynamic team focused on architectural sheet metal and exterior building envelope systems. We specialize in services such as sheet metal flashing and trim, metal wall and roof panels, exterior wall cladding, soffit panels, translucent and composite wall systems, waterproofing and air barriers, fiber cement siding, and fiberglass sandwich panel assemblies. Our projects span various sectors, including commercial, healthcare, industrial, institutional, and residential.

Responsibilities include : assisting in the installation and maintenance of sheet metal and exterior building systems, operating hand and power tools for fabrication and installation tasks, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, especially when working at heights, utilizing blueprints and other technical documents to guide project tasks, performing equipment operation including forklift and scissor lift, and conducting welding and maintenance tasks as required.

Essential skills include proficiency with hand and power tools, strong mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills, ability to read and interpret blueprints, and experience with equipment operation such as forklifts and scissor lifts.

Additional skills and qualifications include welding skills, OSHA certification, and candidates must not have a fear of heights.

Work environment : This is a contract-to-hire position based in Shawnee, Kansas. The work environment is primarily outdoors, operating in all climate conditions above 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Work hours are from 6 am to 4 pm or until the job is completed. Employees will work at heights and should be prepared for varying weather conditions.

Job type and location : This is a permanent position based out of Shawnee, KS.

Pay and benefits : The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $47840.00 / yr. Provide health, vision, and dental.

Workplace type : This is a fully onsite position in Shawnee, KS.
