About the Role :

At #1 In Home Care, quality compassionate at home care is our specialty. We are currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Direct Service Workers with a CNA license to provide assistance to a paraplegic client in the St. Rose area. This position includes a split shift schedule.

Position Details :

Location : St. Rose, LA

Client : Paraplegic individual

Schedule : Split shifts daily (Sunday - Saturday), 9 : 00 AM – 1 : 00 PM and 4 : 00 PM – 8 : 00 PM

Responsibilities :

• Must be able to work both shifts when needed and every other weekend
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities
• Support client mobility, safety, and comfort
• Maintain a clean and organized environment
• Follow care plan and documentation requirements

Skills :

The required skills such as effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities are essential for this position. Attention to detail and observational skills are used daily to monitor clients' health and safety, enabling timely reporting of any concerns. Time management and organizational skills help in efficiently balancing multiple client needs and documentation requirements.

Preferred skills like CPR and First Aid certification enhance the worker’s ability to respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring client safety. Knowledge of community resources improve service delivery by facilitating better communication and access to support systems is a plus.
