Writer (Contract)

The Opportunity :

Were looking for a 2-3 month contract Writer to help us share our scientific and business progress with a wide audience through writing. The ideal candidate will have editorial experience and a keen eye for detail. You should be able to contextualize our research which covers a broad range of topics and disciplines. Through this effort we want to make our work understandable by the public without deep expertise in a given field. We shoot for a more conversational tone with visibility into our thinking. The Writer will be involved at the outset of planning new posts in partnership with analysts and co-founders preparing early drafts and incorporating feedback.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with our co-founders to prepare written updates on our science and business by drafting copy and providing high-level feedback on structure and organization
• Maintain a firm grasp of Arcadias publishing experiment and business model in order to help ideate and iterate on our written communications
• Write for clarity while taking care to ensure scientific and historical accuracy

Experience

$75 - $90 an hour
