Delivery Route Assistant
The Delivery Route Assistant assists drivers in the delivery of products to customers in a manner that meets customer requirements. Route Assistants are responsible for loading and unloading products from the vehicle, verifying contents against shipping invoices or inventories, and rotating and stocking all United products and retail customer accounts.
Qualifications :
- Must be 18 years or older
- 1 3 years of direct experience in a similar position preferred
- Clean driving record
- Ability to drive and maintain a valid drivers license in the applicable state
Responsibilities :
Build and ensure excellent customer service by consistently assisting in delivering orders on time and in good condition and by acting in a courteous and professional mannerHelp driver with directionsEnsure all packages are accounted for and also signatures receivedAssist the driver in complying with all Department of Transportation standards and regulations and maintaining a good driving performanceAssist driver with unloading and delivering products at assigned stops; verify count and condition of goods unloaded; and accurately report all overages, shortages, and breakage / damageDirectly report customer needs and concerns to the driver and participate in delivering resolutionsBecome familiar with routes and customers expectations on the assigned routesIf approved by the manager, a Delivery Route Assistant over 21 years of age may be assigned to drive a company vehicle on behalf of the companyBecome familiar with Uniteds portfolio of brands and proprietary rights in each countyRemain knowledgeable of federal and state regulations regarding the distribution of alcoholPerform other duties as assignedCompetencies :
