Transport Planner
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transport Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and ensuring production supply for all deliveries, coordinating with external service providers, and managing the operational handling and monitoring of inbound and outbound material transports for all programs.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate material deliveries, including special transport requirements.
- Monitor and manage daily transport operations, ensuring alignment with service providers and internal stakeholders.
- Create and revise operational standards and work instructions to support process consistency and continuous improvement.
- Act as a key interface between transport service providers, internal departments, and OEM partners.
- Support the planning and integration of new logistics projects and ensure seamless operational transitions.
- Implement dashboard-based performance targets and continuous updates for cost management and reporting.
- Conduct daily track & trace activities and provide regular updates through emails, reports, and stakeholder communication.
- Verify freight forwarder invoices, review freight charges, and ensure compliance with routing orders.
Your Qualifications
Completed apprenticeship or equivalent professional experience as a freight forwarding agent.Diploma or Bachelor in Industrial Business Management or a related field.Demonstrated expertise in transport, logistics, and procurement processes.Fundamental knowledge of accounting principles.Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Experience with SAP and Transport Management Systems.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Economic thinking and effective conflict management abilities.Resilience, flexibility, and excellent teamwork skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Your Preferred Qualifications
Professional experience in a freight forwarding or transport service company.Specialized knowledge in freight cost controlling.Completion of a recognized training program in freight forwarding.Certification in logistics or supply chain management.Proficiency in a foreign language, preferably Chinese.At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
