BIM Detailer

Salary Range : $84,000 - $108,000

Location : Colorado Springs, CO

Work Hours : Between 7 : 00 AM and 5 : 00 PM

General Job Description :

This position is primarily responsible for successfully modeling and coordinating projects from start to finish using the latest technologies, Virtual Construction Standards, and industry best practices to ensure high-quality and efficient outcomes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Lead and perform detailing for Mechanical Piping, Process Piping, and / or Plumbing systems.
• Optimize layout / routing, minimize fitting usage, and identify design flaws.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and risk reduction.
• Interpret and extract data from contract documents (plans, specs, submittals).
• Model and coordinate in 3D using Revit and CAD tools.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and collaborate with BIM and management teams.
• Generate layout point files for Trimble and Topcon.
• Support other detailers as needed.
• Maintain constant communication with project stakeholders including PMs, foremen, fabrication shops, and external trades.
• Manage model uploads, logs, RFIs, and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
