Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development release lifecycle and drive delivery across various systems, partnering with product / project management, tech leads, and operations teams.
- Establish and govern release processes, deliverables, and risk management protocols to ensure predictable release execution.
- Oversee CI / CD pipeline design, optimization, and automation strategies to support scalable, secure build and deployment environments.
- Monitor and maintain release delivery metrics, deployment frequency, rollback rates, uptime SLA, and release quality gates.
- Provide technical leadership for incident resolution, change control oversight, and root cause analysis.
- Research, evaluate, and implement tooling, automation opportunities, and emerging technologies (including AI) to drive continuous improvement.
Essential Qualifications
7+ years of experience in Development, DevOps, Build & Release Engineering, or related management roles.3+ years in a technical leadership or managerial capacity.Demonstrated success implementing scalable CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, ArgoCD, or Spinnaker).Strong experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).Experience with eCommerce architecture, technology stacks, and release processes.Strong understanding of databases, message queues, caching, CDNs, APIs, and security principles.Experience with source control systems (Git) and branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based).Skilled in using JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr, or similar tools.Bonus Qualifications
Familiarity with progressive delivery techniques (feature flags, canary deployments).Knowledge of compliance / regulatory practices (PCI-DSS, GDPR) for software delivery.Why Averro?
