The Curriculum Development Support Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating curriculum development, integration, and coordination throughout the medical education program. Moreover, this individual collaborates with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to enhance the delivery and continuous improvement of the medical curriculum.

• Serves as the primary administrative support for the Curriculum Committee and its subcommittees.
• Schedules and coordinates meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and distribute materials to committee members.
• Tracks and follows up on action items and decisions made by the committees.
• Assists faculty and staff in the development and revision of curriculum content, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and institutional goals.
• Facilitates the integration of basic sciences, clinical sciences, and professional development into a cohesive curriculum.
• Coordinates with faculty to integrate innovative teaching methods and technologies into the curriculum.
• Oversees the implementation of the curriculum across different years and courses, ensuring consistency and coherence.
• Maintains and updates the curriculum database, syllabi, and course materials.
• Coordinates the logistics of curriculum delivery, including classroom scheduling, resource allocation, and faculty assignments.

Assists in the implementation and scheduling of assessment tools to evaluate student learning and curriculum effectiveness. Partners with the Office of Assessment and Evaluation to review and analyze data related to curriculum outcomes, student performance, and feedback from stakeholders. Prepares reports and presentations for the Curriculum Committee and accreditation purposes. Serves as a liaison between the Office of Medical Education, faculty, students, and other stakeholders. Respond to inquiries and provide information regarding curriculum policies, procedures, and requirements. Facilitates communication and collaboration among faculty, staff, and students to support curriculum initiatives. Stays updated on trends and best practices in medical education and curriculum development. Participates in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Identifies areas for improvement and proposes solutions to enhance the quality and efficiency of the curriculum. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Masters and 3 years experience

Education : Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related Master's degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience : Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience Certification / Licensing : None.
