Job Description
Fast-growing AI healthcare startup is hiring a Founding Data Scientist.
Seeking a true “player-coach” , offering the opportunity to shape the data science function from the ground up while remaining hands-on in analytics, modeling, and product collaboration.
What You’ll Do
- Establish the data function : build systems, tools, best practices, and a long-term data strategy
- Hands-on analytics and modeling : develop predictive and optimization models, perform ad hoc analyses, and prototype ML applications
- Collaborate across teams : work closely with product, engineering, and clinical leaders to uncover trends, inform features, and drive measurable outcomes
- Client-facing insights : analyze healthcare data, create dashboards, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Leadership growth : act as a “player-coach,” mentoring future data hires as the team expands
What We’re Looking For
Tech Stack : Python, R, scikit-learn, StatsModels, PyTorch, SQL, healthcare claims + EMR / EHR data, ICD / CPT / HCPCS, BI tools
