Summary

• Provide management of the day-to-day operations of the department and oversight of the work production, quantity, and quality of work completed.
• Schedules work assignments and assigns hours and work locations.
• This position may also train and / or evaluate employees.
• Handles difficult problems, develops and documents programs and curriculum, monitors departmental resources, and ensures compliance with policies and laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

NOTE :   YOU MUST FILL OUT THE WORK HISTORY and EDUCATION SECTIONS OF APPLICATION TO SHOW YOU HAVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION AS REQUIRED BY HIRING DEPARTMENT OR BE DISQUALIFIED.

TO APPLY ,  must possess an Associate's degree  or higher + Three (3) full-time years  of related work experience

OR

TO APPLY, must have a High School diploma or GED  + Five (5) full-time years of related work experience.

TO APPLY, must have a Class "A" CDL. Note : A Texas driver license is required to hold the position.

MUST PROVIDE LICENSING AGENCY AND LICENSE NUMBER IN "CERTIFICATES AND LICENSING" SECTION OF THE APPLICATION OR RISK DISQUALIFICATION.

Note : A tanker endorsement is required within thirty (30) days of hire.

Must have an advanced knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in the field of road construction and maintenance.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; moderate computer skills; and effective interpersonal and leadership skills.

If hired, must provide proof of educational attainment

at New Hire Processing or during the promotional process.
