Position Description

This is a part-time flexible working hours position. The Payroll & Accounting Manager for Altius Test Prep will be tasked with all payroll functions accounting tasks and some HR tasks. Your core responsibilities will be the timely and accurate distribution of payroll to all Altius employees using Intuit QuickBooks keeping us up to date on all state payroll and unemployment taxes and forms accounts payable and a variety of other areas such as 401K distribution . You will also use Bamboo HR software to store and track important documents and data. We prefer a candidate with experience in administering both traditional salary / hourly compensation plans AND pay-per-piece or contractor (1099)-based plans. Altius currently has around 75 employees. Employees are paid once per month so it is likely you will have one unusually busy week each month followed by three less busy weeks.

May occasionally assist company executives and directors with other accounting-related tasks as needed. Altius retains the services of an external tax and accounting firm for major accounting tasks annual tax return preparation etc.

This position to be completed through a combination of at home and at the Altius Headquarters in Provo UT.

Requirements

2-3 years experience in the payroll and accounting field

Honesty integrity and confidentiality are personal qualities essential to this position

Self-starter that does not need to have constant management to ensure projects and assignments are done in a timely manner

Positive Attitude

Flexible schedule and dedication to your work

• A plus if you have used Quickbooks Online and BambooHR
