POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Data Engineer to join our Data Village team in Nashville, TN. This role involves working on-site as part of a dynamic team focused on delivering cutting-edge data solutions. The ideal candidate will have 4–7 years of experience in data engineering, with strong expertise in NiFi, DBT, Java, and data pipeline development for ingestion and transformation. The Data Engineer will play a key role in building robust, scalable, and efficient data solutions leveraging cloud technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Engineering :
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions using Snowflake and Azure data services (Data Factory and Synapse).
- Develop and manage multiple data pipelines for sourcing, transforming, and delivering data according to business needs.
- Utilize SQL, Python, and a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure high-quality data engineering practices.
Data Movement and Transformation :
Implement and manage data movement, streaming, and transformation using Apache NiFi.Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of data workflows across systemsInnovation and Learning :
Continuously learn and apply new technologies by leveraging existing skills.Identify opportunities to enhance the technology stack and integrate emerging tools within a short timeframe.Team Collaboration :
Work collaboratively within a Pod of 4+ data engineers.Engage in a consultative manner with clients to align technical solutions with business objectives.Technical Enablement & Support :
Deploy and manage cloud-based applications supporting data ingestion and curation using Java and Kubernetes (AWS EKS).Contribute to DevOps processes leveraging GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, and Prometheus for CI / CD, infrastructure automation, and monitoring.Integrate Kafka for data streaming and real-time analytics capabilities.SKILLS
Strong proficiency in Java programming.Expertise in building and managing data pipelines using NiFi and DBT.Advanced experience with Snowflake, Azure (Data Factory, Synapse), and AWS.Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AWS EKS), Terraform, Jenkins, and Prometheus.Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and practices.Familiarity with GitHub for version control and collaborative development.KEY COMPETENCIES

Basic Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.4–7 years of experience in data and cloud application engineering.Proven experience in developing and deploying cloud-based data solutions.Preferred Qualifications :
