job_description.job_card.job_descriptionConduct Nuclear Medicine exams per our established imaging protocols. Administer radioactive materials according to health regulations. Ensure safety measures for yourself, colleagues, and patients during procedures. Communicate clearly with patients to explain the process prior to examinations. Maintain proficiency in operating nuclear medicine equipment. Coordinate with physicians for necessary procedures involving medication administration. Perform quality control checks to uphold department functions. Maintain accurate records regarding radioactive materials management. Conduct regular surveys of your work area and keep documented findings. Adhere to safety and infection control policies as per regulatory bodies. Collaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer to uphold quality standards. Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program or equivalent. Preferred : One year as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Certification by the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist. Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (CNMT) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (N), or eligible for exams within 24 months. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.

Job Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Specialist utilizes radionuclides to aid in disease diagnosis and treatment. You will have a solid understanding of human anatomy, patient care principles, nuclear medicine protocols, and radiation safety practices. You will produce images compliant with industry standards and maintain quality assurance in line with regulatory guidelines.
