About IPSD

Caterpillars Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine Petroleum Industrial Applications Electric Generators and Locomotives. Job Summary :

As a key member of our team you will play a vital role in exceeding production standards by providing comprehensive support for quality issues in our Quality Lab . Your responsibilities will include collaborating with quality managers and various departments to meet both customer and company needs while focusing on elevating product quality velocity and cost-effectiveness through skilled data analysis and effective problem-solving. What you will do :

• Perform audits and carry out quality inspections to correct known defects
• Inspect parts and materials to ensure they are free from quality defects
• Perform torque audits leak tests and visual inspection on all engine components
• Assist in gauge calibrations
• Maintain safe and clean workstations
• Preform product cleanliness audits as required
• Learn and utilize quality software and databases
• Assist in servicing offsite external customers as needed
• Communicate with the team about missed inspection items or customer concerns
• Identify and solve problems using Caterpillar Production Systems methods
• Deliver daily work assignments as directed by Production Managers and assist with special projects
• Communicate effectively within the team and across departments
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and area-specific instructions
• Occasionally participate in training and development
• Perform any other assigned duties
