Summary Store Workers
Store Workers serve in one or more commissary store departments (e.g., grocery, produce, warehouse, etc.) performing a variety of duties involved in receiving, handling, marking, preparing, displaying, and maintaining the stock of resale items. This is an open-continuous announcement with an initial cut-off date 30 days after the open date of the announcement. Responsibilities include maintaining adequate stock of resale items, identifying any obvious spoilage, damage, and out-of-date merchandise, receiving supplies, equipment, and resale items, operating a computer system that calculates and marks prices, and determining weights of merchandise, and transporting items to shelving and display areas.
To qualify for this position, you must meet qualifications and requirements by the closing date. Examples of related qualifying experience include ensuring the proper care and handling of resale grocery items, locating items for customers, rotating stock, stacking containers, and participating in inventories, operating a computer system to calculate prices and label merchandise, and arranging stock on shelves and in displays.
Physical requirements include continuously walking, standing, bending, stooping, stretching, and reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.
