Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Adelphi is seeking a psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services at a facility in Phoenix, Arizona. The psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations on mentally ill patients and develop appropriate treatment regimens.

Requirements :

• Active AZ license
• BC / BE
• BLS
• DEA license
• DEA X-Waiver
• Minimum 2 years experience

Responsibilities :

• Conduct professional medical and physical examinations on patients.
• Make diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment regimens.
• Make electronic entries in patient medical record.
• Attend hospital meetings.
• Attend onsite patient court hearings to provide testimony for court proceedings, discussion with legal representatives / agencies and other duties as necessary.
• Administer medical treatment and diagnostic programs.
• Apply prior knowledge and training to unusual and varied medical and / or psychiatric conditions.
• Provide coverage for day Officer of the Day (OD) calls if requested.
• Respond to emergency calls and treatment(s).
• Direct work of professional staff.
• Work effectively with fellow medical staff and treatment team members such as psychologists, PAs, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, social workers, dietitians, therapists, etc.
• Any other duties as assigned.
