Position Overview :

Join our team as an RN Critical Care specializing in Adult PACU at a premier Acute Care / Academic Medical Center in Syracuse. This role demands expertise in post-anesthesia care for adult patients within a dynamic critical care environment.

Evening / Night Shifts

  • 6 x 12-hour shifts every 2 weeks (11 : 00 am -11 : 30 pm & 7 : 00 pm - 7 : 30 am)
  • Every 3rd weekend is required
  • No on-call

    • Qualifications :

  • Education : Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Licensure : Active New York State RN License
  • Certification : BLS certification (must be current or willing to recertify)
  • Experience :

    • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an acute care facility (within the past 2 years)

  • PACU experience is required
  • Previous critical care experience is essential
  • Technical Skills : EPIC EMR proficiency (strongly preferred)
  • Soft Skills : Adaptability, critical thinking, and teamwork in fast-paced settings.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide specialized post-anesthesia care for adult critical care patients.
  • Monitor and manage patient recovery, complications, and pain control.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and patient management.
