Overview
We are seeking a Water Utility Worker for assignment in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the operations and maintenance of a water treatment plant on an assigned shift.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm
- This position has a pay rate of $20.98 / hr
- This position has an on-call schedule
- This position requires a Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement
Responsibilities
Install, operate, locate, maintain and repair water distribution infrastructure including water mains, service lines, hydrants, valves, PRVs and metersEstablishes and maintains effective sample procedures and records for water linesPerforms routine serving and corrective maintenance of water and wastewater collection systemsLocates and marks underground water, wastewater and reclaimed water services by utilizing provided maps and toolsCleans vehicles, heavy equipment, pumps, tools, and other stationary and portable equipmentPerforms routine inspections of vehicles and equipment; performs minor maintenance and lubrication of machinery such as changing oil and greasing equipmentOperates and maintains vehicles, equipment and tools required to load, unload, haul and spread sand, gravel, dirt and / or waste products ( sludge, product waste, packaging waste, etc.)Digs and refills ditched and trenchesCarries or holds materials, supplies and tools to assist operations and maintenance personnelMaintains grounds and buildings; cuts grass, weeds and brush; trims trees and bushes; rakes grass, leaves and trash, seeds and cares for lawns and ornamental plantingsAbility and willingness to work on-call shifts, as requested, including being fit and able to respond to call-ins in a timely mannerPerforms other duties as requiredQualifications
High School Dploma or GEDA valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Tanker EndorsementFamiliarity with hand and power toolsExperience operating a Dump Truck, Hydro Excavator or Ditch Witch is highly preferred#IND
