Position Overview :

As a Quality Technician you will be a member of the Quality Assurance Team reporting to a Quality Supervisor or Manager. You will contribute to the success of Ball by inspecting in-process or finished products for quality; based on Ball internal specifications and will advise production on results.

The Goodyear plant is a high-volume fast-paced 24 / 7-365 days / year manufacturing environment. Our crews work 4 days on 4 days off rotating from days to nights every 32 days (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am).

Your Key Responsibilities Include :

• Follow all job safety practices and policies including but not limited to : food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures etc.
• Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on inspection equipment as needed.
• Routinely use measuring tools (such as : calliper gauges micrometres).
• Advise production when inspection results do not meet customer specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace according to 5S standards.
• Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating communicating and upholding ethical integrity.
