Student Assistant - Blue Tie Catering - Food Service Associate (Spring 2026)

Job Summary

The Student Assistant will support the Blue Tie Catering as a Food Service Associate on the Armstrong Campus beginning Spring 2026. This role is an essential part of the catering team, contributing to a smooth catering experience for both the internal and external clients.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities

• Performs related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
• Prepares fresh food items and other prep tasks as needed
• Assists with event preparation, setup, replenishment, and breakdown
• Provides excellent customer service
• Performs cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, polishing equipment and washing dishes
• Assists with removal of trash and recyclables
• Operates various types of kitchen equipment to include; oven, dish machine, slicer, etc.
