Mechanical Project Manager
Position Overview
The Mechanical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical engineering projects. This role involves managing project schedules, budgets, and resources while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and project management, particularly in construction and MEP projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using tools like P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project alignment and compliance.
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost control.
- Oversee change orders and ensure proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
- Utilize software such as Bluebeam, Viewpoint, Procore, and Trimble to facilitate project management tasks.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and address any issues that arise.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of objectives and outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction or mechanical industry.Strong knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, plumbing, and piping.Experience with project management software such as P6, Microsoft Project, and Procore.Familiarity with Bluebeam and Viewpoint for document management and collaboration.PMP certification is preferred.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.Benefits
