A career-minded Water / Wastewater engineer, looking for growth and advancement, is needed to join JMT’s fast growing Water / Wastewater consultant engineering practice. Employee will work with a team of experience project managers and professional engineers working on projects in the water / wastewater field. The selected candidate will become part of an established team of engineers working on exciting sewershed study and rehabilitation, new sewer design, water distribution, water / wastewater treatment, and pump station projects in the Mid-Atlantic. Employee is expected to provide quality engineering evaluation and design services efficiently to support the project team’s objective and provide customer satisfaction on all projects. This position is not eligible for employer based sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior engineers in a multi-disciplinary team to develop construction plans and specifications for various design projects
• Assist with development of technical evaluation memoranda
• Prepare engineering cost estimates
• Prepare design drawings using 3D design tools

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment 85% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.

Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat / cold, wet / humid, and dry / arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
