HR Generalist

Payrate : $31.00 - $32.00 / hr. Summary : The main function of a human resources generalist is perform the administrative functions, such as employee benefits, recruiting and interviewing, along with strategic planning and policy management. A typical human resources generalist is responsible for enhancing company productivity, increasing performance and improving business results. Responsibilities : Act as a point of escalation for questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems. Instruct staff on how to advise management on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment. Resolve disputes and administer disciplinary procedures. Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures. Plan, direct and supervise and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations and employee relations. May represent organization in HR meetings. Aligning HR policies and programs to promote employee engagement, retention, and performance. Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc. Analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to management. Support a culture of continuous improvement by providing coaching and feedback. Facilitate conflict resolution, inquiries, and disciplinary actions as necessary. Work with global HR partners and process owners. HR : Policies, Standards and Procedures : Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organization's and industry's standards, procedures, and policies regarding human resources management. Data Gathering and Reporting : Knowledge of tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company. Outlook Workday SharePoint / OneDrive Desired Skills : Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time. Strong knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action). Strong knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems. Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Extensive experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); desired experience with Workday, SharePoint / OneDrive Ability to exhibit decision making and critical thinking skills Experience with data gathering and reporting Strong knowledge of HR policies, standards and procedures (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action, ). Pay Transparency : The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is : $31.00 - $32.00 / hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
