Job Summary

We are committed to revolutionizing healthcare through advanced data science. As a Research Data Scientist, you will use clinical and imaging data to develop and implement computational algorithms, support groundbreaking research, and generate real?world evidence to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement informatics pipelines for clinical or imaging data processing, integration, and visualization.
• Analyze imaging datasets using advanced computational and bioinformatics methods.
• Apply, develop, and validate statistical, machine learning, or deep learning techniques to identify patterns and insights from complex clinical and biological data.
• Build predictive models to forecast disease risk and progression, health outcomes, and treatment effectiveness; communicate findings to the research community.
• Work closely with data governance and security to ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., NIST, HIPAA) and address bias and fairness issues in AI models.
• Keep abreast of emerging AI research trends and propose innovative solutions to healthcare challenges.
• Compose reproducible workflows and reports to articulate patterns for researchers and administrators.
• Organize and automate project steps for data preparation and analysis.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and liaison to stakeholders regarding data science best practices.
• Develop and optimize advanced computational algorithms using AI, ML, regression, and rule?based models.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary : $90,000 (negotiable). Benefits include generous vacation, holidays, sick leave, competitive insurance plans, retirement benefits, and access to the universitys comprehensive benefits portal.

Education

Terminal degree preferred (MD or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Clinical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Ophthalmology, or related disciplines.
