Outpatient Auditor

A company is looking for an Outpatient Audit Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct outpatient facility coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers

Provide rationale for identified coding changes, including documentation references

Educate coders through the auditing process while maintaining workflow and case resolution

Required Qualifications

5+ years of outpatient facility coding experience and / or auditing

CCS (preferred), RHIA or RHIT preferred

Maintains a 95% accuracy rate

Experience with various software including Epic, Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs
