Position Objectives
The primary responsibilities of the Event Setup Supervisor is to set up and tear down for functions of the hotel as directed by the Event Services Management team. This position is also responsible for using and storing equipment appropriately. The Event Setup Houseperson must be able to listen and communicate effectively, as well as meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Must be eighteen (18) or older
- Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays
- Demonstrated experience in exercising confidentiality and integrity
Education & Skills
Preferred ; previous banquet or event experienceRequired ; extensive experience using Microsoft Office Applications, Outlook, Internet, and other Microsoft Office productsRequired ; mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divideRequired ; effective oral and written communication skills in order to interact with all employee levels and guests within the hotelRequired ; Ability to multi task, prioritize and handle conflicting demandsRequired ; Flexible with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing priorities and situationsRequired ; Solid under pressure, professional and able to maintain composure in handing complaints and other feedbackRequired ; Ability to meet deadlines without compromise
